Travelodge Liverpool Central Queens Dock and Arena

Travelodge with a perfect location for the docks without forking out significantly more for one of the fancy hotels. Great value for money. When I arrived there were a few issues at the hotel, but staff kept me informed, were friendly, and more than made up for the inconvenience caused. Darren was an absolute star, along with all the other staff around on Halloween evening. Would absolutely go back if I needed somewhere to stay in Liverpool again.

Booked a room with late check out , meal deal , breakfast and wifi. Hotel was previously another chain and is being upgraded and currently doesn't have a lift. Allocated a ground floor room after ringing but was advised may not be possible but they would carry my case upstairs. Room a little tired, very comfortable and I slept well. Meal deal was great pizza and desert and breakfast was okay if a little dry but I could have gone earlier. Coffee machine not working but fine with instant. Staff lovely. No lift, but the room I had (101) had a fairly nice TV (though needs better aerial supply as pictures broke up and non existent on some channels eg 7: Merseyside TV) Decent size kettle, good bathroom with shower AND BATH (sadly few places have a bath, something I appreciate) but only two small, inadequate, lights in bathroom in corners to either side of wide mirror above sink and toilet. Good bed, heating worked fine, limited power sockets in room - just 2 by desk, none by bed, and 1 in "hall" (door from hotel corridor led into an 8-10 ft square "hall" with 2 further doors to bathroom and bedroom). NB I describe this as "great value" only because I struck lucky with a room under £40 but I am truly shocked to see some mediocre rooms listed at over £150 and boycott such rooms, so can rarely find anything on Friday or Saturday from Travelodge.

If you're thinking of booking, don't hesitate! The rooms are fabulous, 120 overlooks the waterway. The staff on the Saturday and Sunday were very helpful, friendly and kind. The breakfast choices were amazing and very tasty. About 14 of us who stayed here as part of a party, and we would stay again next time we come to Liverpool. Thanks to Darren and all the team!

Great location within walking distance of the city centre and plenty of parking available(£10 a day). The room was basic and looked like it had being rushed from the recent refurbishment but it had everything we needed and we had a nice view of the water from our room. The staff were very friendly on reception and we was able to help ourself to more tea/coffee whenever we needed to. Overall we had a really nice stay here and we would stay again.

I was really surprised when I arrived. Plenty of parking and was only £10 for 24 hours. Rooms where Clean and tidy. Breakfast was buffet style, really well cooked and tasty. The hotel was quiet and I got a good night's sleep. It's opposite KFC and McDonald's if you fancy something other than what the hotel has to offer. I would return.

Pros: Fantastic location on the Queens Wharf I had a room overseeing the water which was wonderful to wake up to Staff on the front desk were amazing, so friendly and offered a wealth of local knowledge (Darren and another person I didn’t catch the name of!) Really decent room with all you really need Very comfy bed Generally felt quite clean Generally quiet when doors are not in use Cons: It doesn’t feel particularly safe to have an automatic door to the rooms so anyone can walk in and out There’s just no way to shut the doors to the rooms and the mid-corridor doors quietly so there were loud bangs when trying to settle to sleep No real storage asides from a few hangers I hadn’t ordered breakfast and did not appreciate being told when checking in about breakfast and the times- I think the receptionist was just doing their job but alas, I had not added it for a reason. The lights from the corridors streaming into my room at night due to all the gaps around and under the door was not great but thankfully I’d packed an eye mask. Overall, would I stay again? Likely yes. I’ve stayed in a lot of travelodges and this is one of the better versions.

Clean rooms. Staff were friendly and efficient. Especially the lady who checked us in 21/01/26 approx. 1300. She knew her stuff. 5 for a cheap hotel. No bells or whistles. Do you have to pay for parking though. But big city so thats the only expected. Nice view of the dock.
